Leading realty firm Landco Pacific Corp. recently held its Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Calatagan South Beach (CaSoBe) in Batangas, showcasing its Adopt-a-Scholar program beneficiaries from the local communities.
“There’s much to be thankful for at Landco. This year has been spectacular and historic for us. We’ve celebrated numerous success stories and winning moments, many of which we owe to our partners,” says Landco vice president for sales and marketing Gerard Peñaflor.
Prestigious and international award-giving bodies in business and real estate shined the spotlight on the firm for raising the bar in premium resort development which features its BeachTowns.

The premium real estate developer was named in 2023 as the Best Leisure Real Estate (Resort Estate) Developer of The Year in the Global Economic Awards, Real Estate Asia Award; Best Luxury Leisure Projects Developer in the Global Business Outlook Awards; and Most Sustainable Developer and Best Real Estate Developer in the International Investment Awards; and most recently, Asia’s Best Performing Company at ACES Awards.
These awards were added merits to Landco’s earlier recognitions: Silver Award of Landco BeachTowns CaSoBe (Calatagan South Beach) for Outstanding Development in Luzon – Masterplan in the 2023 Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Philippine Chapter, regarded as the Oscars of Real Estate, which recognizes the best in the industry.
With these accolades, Landco serves as an exemplar in providing long-term property value for modern Filipino families to build their dream beach homes and create a lifestyle that allows them to enjoy their investment and leave a legacy to the next generation.

As a testament to its commitment to corporate social responsibility, 2023 also marked the launch of its Adopt-a-Scholar program in partnership with Batangas State University (BSU) and local public high schools. This initiative is part of the firm’s long-term vision of empowering underprivileged youths in the communities surrounding Landco BeachTowns in Batangas.
“We also celebrate how we aim to share our blessings. One of Landco’s key objectives is to enhance and uplift the communities where our developments thrive,” Peñaflor added.
Five scholars each from local public senior high schools in Calatagan and Laiya were selected and provided with financial assistance for a four-year course in hospitality at BSU. The financial aid covers daily needs for food, transportation, dormitory, school necessities, and projects.
Upon graduation, they have the option to take job opportunities at Landco BeachTowns and Millennial Resorts Corp. (MRC), Landco’s hospitality arm. MRC manages unconventional accommodations, such as Crusoe Cabins at CaSoBe, Cocoons (CaSoBe and Club Laiya) and Camperisti (Club Laiya), and leisure facilities Aquaria Water Park (CaSoBe and Samal Island), and Laiya Beach Club (Club Laiya).

Landco also implements environmental, social, and governance initiatives to create a better future for its stakeholders. As a subsidiary of the Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Metro Pacific Investment Corp. (MPIC), it aligns its sustainability strategy to MPIC’s commitment to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, and resilient.
