Unleash PH has officially entered the pet care scene, positioning itself as a full-service digital ecosystem tailored for Filipino pet parents and their fur babies. Designed to simplify and enhance pet ownership, Unleash offers a curated marketplace, emergency support, pet transport, and even partnerships with major airlines to make pet travel easier.

The app also introduces a social media platform called REAP (Reads), which promotes pet adoption and raises awareness about animal welfare.

“Anything you can think of about pet parenting is there,” said Muji Jaafar, Unleash’s director for operations. “From adoption resources to emergency services and product purchases, Unleash creates a holistic environment for pet lovers.”

To mark its official launch, Unleash recently hosted the Unleash Pet Gala at One Esplanade, MOA Complex. The evening drew pet lovers, celebrities, and industry leaders for a celebration of the unique bond between pets and their owners.

The highlight of the night was a playful and stylish pet fashion show, where pets and their fur parents strutted down the runway in creative and coordinated outfits. “The creativity and connection we saw tonight were incredible,” said Jaafar. “It reflects the heart of what Unleash is about—strengthening the bond between pets and their families.”

The gala also marked the announcement of volleyball superstar Michele Gumabao as the official face of Unleash PH. Known for her love of animals and advocacy for pet welfare, Gumabao will help drive Unleash’s mission to provide accessible and innovative pet care.

One of the most talked-about announcements was the launch of Meets, a new dating feature designed for pets. “We wanted to add a fun social aspect to pet care,” Jaafar said. “Meets helps pets find compatible playmates or even ‘soulmates’—because pets need companionship too.”

Unleash also introduced its new Services Feature, offering mobile grooming, telemedicine, pet sitting, training, and even a pet-friendly café. “We want to make sure pet parents have access to everything they need in one place,” said Chie Malaki, CEO of Unleash. “This is just the beginning of what Unleash can offer.”

A standout moment of the evening was the presentation of the Community Leader Award to PAWSsion Project, a group dedicated to animal welfare and pet adoption. The award honored their ongoing efforts to improve the lives of animals in need.

With an ambitious target of 10 million downloads by the end of the year, Unleash is positioning itself as an app that is bound to reshape how Filipinos care for their pets.
