Cosmetics and skincare are proving to be profitable businesses for a former struggling employee who has now found herself the owner of a rising beauty brand. The businesswoman’s name is Maria Joycenyl E. Reyes, and the brand she founded is called MQ Cosmetics.

The beauty brand has been making a name for itself thanks to the quality of the products as well as the dedication and personal touch Reyes and her team put into the business. MQ Cosmetics is also one of the many businesses that have successfully used social media to turn an enterprise into a money-making machine.

MQ Cosmetics started as a humble venture during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when Reyes found herself jobless. With a strong desire to make a difference and support her loved ones, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

 

Armed with her passion for makeup and her entrepreneurial spirit, Reyes embarked on a journey to create her own brand.

Today, MQ Cosmetics sells kojic and bleaching soaps, coffee scrubs, sunflower oil, and lip therapy products, among many others.

But she continued to push forward. One of the turning points for MQ Cosmetics was when Reyes discovered the power of social media, particularly TikTok. She started creating videos showcasing her products. To her surprise, her videos went viral, and people started lining up to purchase her products.

The success was overwhelming, and MQ Cosmetics experienced a surge in demand, with sales reaching six digits in a short period of time.
