Hotel 101-Manila hosted an intimate gathering that was aimed to honor and thank key partners that the hotel worked hand-in-hand with these past years in fighting the pandemic and responding to the needs of the situation, while sparking happiness and hope as we bounce back from the global health crisis.

“Since the start of the pandemic, the Hotel 101 Group has been accommodating OFWs, returning Filipinos, uniformed service personnel and other government frontliners. We thank you for your hard work and sacrifice for the Filipino people,” Hotel 101 Group general manager Gel Gomez said as she welcomed everyone.

The Hotel 101 Group ushered in the holiday season with simultaneous Christmas Tree Lightings across its properties at Hotel 101-Manila, Jinjiang Inn-Ortigas, Jinjiang Inn-Makati, Jinjiang Inn-Boracay Station 1, and Injap Tower Hotel in Iloilo.

Invited guests also adorned the Hotel 101-Manila’s Christmas Tree with a “Star of Hope,” which symbolizes shared commitment and hope for a better, safer and happier Holidays.

“This star symbolizes hope that shines and guides us as we navigate through and out of this pandemic. We have been through a lot, and now, we’re seeing improvements in our situation,” Gomez added.

Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, meanwhile, congratulated Hotel 101-Manila as she gave her inspirational message. “The lighting of the Christmas tree also symbolizes hope, which we all need as we go through the sacrifices we have made these past two years. Now that many of us are vaccinated, we can go out and share time with others during the Yuletide season,” she said.

Department of Tourism (DOT) Asst. Secretary Woodrow Maquiling Jr. thanked the hotel for opening its doors to our returning Filipinos. “On behalf of the Department of Tourism, our Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat, I wish you all the merriest Yuletide season and happiest holidays, where else, but in the Philippines, where Christmas is more heartfelt, more real, and definitely more fun,” he said.

Hotel 101-Manila, Jinjiang Inn-Ortigas, and Jinjiang Inn-Makati are mandatory quarantine hotels, while Jinjiang Inn-Boracay Station 1 and Injap Tower Hotel in Iloilo are already open for leisure and staycations.

Hotel 101 Group is prepared and ready for the continuous reopening of the tourism industry. But in the meantime, the hotels will continue to support the government in providing accommodations to our kababayans and frontliners as a quarantine facility.

Guests who joined the event were treated to Horizon Café at Hotel 101-Manila’s Christmas Filipino Specials with their Puto Bumbong, Bibingka, Tsokolate at Kapeng Barako, which will be available to all customers this holiday season, in addition to the hotel’s usual favorites, such as the Batchoy, Kansi, and Chicken Inasal.
