In the world of fine jewelry, where glamor and gloss often take center stage, Mayet De La Rosa leads with something far more grounding: heart. More than just sparkle and style, the brand crafts emotion into gold, with pieces that reflect life’s highs, heartbreaks, and everything in between.
“Every piece is intentional. Soul-catching,” De La Rosa said in a recent sit-down that felt more like a catch-up dinner among friends instead of a formal interview.
“I want to be remembered that way—that Mayet De La Rosa Fine Jewelry was there in the most special moments of people’s lives, and that I was able to help uplift people’s lives by being stakeholders in the business,” she said.

The brand’s signature term, soul crafting, refers to her process of blending design, emotion, and story.
Mayet Dela Rosa Fine Jewelry offers a wide range of pieces, including rings, earrings, chains, bracelets, bangles, and diamond-accented designs. They also specialize in custom creations tailored to each client’s story and style.

From pawnshop to passion project
De La Rosa’s journey began in 2001 with a modest pawnshop in Las Piñas. Alongside her husband Richard, she gradually moved into custom jewelry, launching their namesake brand in 2006. “She’s the face of the business,” Richard said, laughing. “I work mostly in the background, helping out in management, research, operations.”
Today, they’ve grown to 20 branches, mostly mall-based, including boutiques in Santa Cruz, Lipa, Antipolo, and Pampanga, plus a busy online hub where live selling thrives. But despite expansion, De La Rosa remains a fixture at the stores.
De La Rosa doesn’t fit the mold of a traditional jeweler—and that’s exactly why people gravitate to her. She tells stories with flair, talks about selling gold teeth, and once haggled over pricing with a client who she was able to close a deal with because she smells good.

Even brand ambassador Nicole Hyala, the Queen of Philippine Radio—known for her own flair and honesty—shared that she’s fond of huge pieces of jewelry from Mayet De La Rosa Fine Jewelry that scream “look at me!” as this makes her feel more beautiful and ups her confidence level even more.
Over the years, and despite growing exponentially, one thing hasn’t changed for the business: they can’t rest on their laurels. In a market full of pretenders and promises, she believes trust is the real luxury.
What sells isn’t sparkle—it’s sincerity
For De La Rosa, it’s about dignity, not trends. Many of her clients buy with the promise of resale or heirloom value. Also, De La Rosa treats each customer with utmost importance—whether they’re coming in for a 0.1 carat pendant or a million-peso diamond ring.

Passing it on
While Mayet’s two kids are already showing interest in the business, don’t expect them to show up draped in bling. “Simple lang sila. Wala ngang hikaw. Ako lang po ang naka-alahas,” she said with a laugh.
That humility trickles down to how she treats customers. “They’re the reason I can curl my hair, wear perfume, and feel proud,” she said. “They gave me this life. Kaya super love ko sila.”
And it’s clear that the love goes both ways.
