The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will hold its Bagsakan, a showcase of products of the micro, small and medium enterprises, at the Estancia Mall in Pasig City on October 29.

DTI’s Bagsakan, done through its  Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP), is part of efforts to help MSMEs sustain their business operations amid the COVID-19 and promote confidence and optimism among consumers.

Nearly a dozen MSMEs from different cities in the NCR  will feature their best products to the discerning customers of Pasig City and  nearby communities:

N.C. Hernandez Food Products – Isaw Chicken Snacks, Salmon Fish Skin Snacks, Crispy Chicken Feet Snacks and more

They are also encouraged to place bulk orders which could help the MSMEs generate sustainable income and maintain their employees.

Since the project’s start in March, 20 Bagsakan activities were already conducted in different venues generating  total sales of over P7.8M and assisted 126 MSMEs as well as fruit and vegetable farmers,  and cooperatives from 11 regions of the  country namely, CAR, 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, 6, 8, 9 and NCR. 

Five more big Bagsakan sales shall be conducted before the end of 2020. It is expected that more MSMEs will benefit from this project and help them recover from losses incurred during the enhanced community quarantine.
