Filipino weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz has just secured the first Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. Her historic win comes with a tantalizing cash prize that could reach a cool P35 million when all put together, plus other tangibles such as a house and lot and a condominium unit.

Now it’s raining prizes for the Filipino Olympic Gold Medalist.

AirAsia has announced it is awarding lifetime free flights to Diaz in “recognition of her hard work, passion, and sportsmanship best exemplified during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Likewise, Philippine Airlines is also giving Diaz 80,000 free miles per year, for life—which makes her the Philippine flag carrier’s first forever flyer as well.

Diaz conquered the women’s 55 kilogram weightlifting competition on Tuesday  obtaining a historic first gold win for the Philippines after 97 years.

This is the second Olympic medal won by the 30-year-old Zamboangena. She snatched a silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

In the same year, Diaz was awarded by AirAsia with 5-year unlimited flights within the AirAsia route network.

“We want all Asean to believe that they can always make it happen. Amidst challenges and struggles as we go forth with recovery, Hidilyn reminds us that no matter how heavy the weight we are carrying, inner strength, perseverance, and a heart of gold will help us power through,” said AirAsia Philippines Spokesperson Steve Dailisan.
