At Jones All-Day Bistro and Bakery, an enticing blend of casual ambiance and exquisite flavors come together to create a memorable dining experience. Doña Elena, one of the Philippines’ top Olive Oil brands, has partnered with Jones All-Day to present a limited-edition three-course Mediterranean menu. Priced at a wallet-friendly P1,200 net per person, this culinary delight is a must-try.

But here’s the catch–this special menu is available for just five more days, until November 10.

Spearheaded by corporate chef and Doña Elena chef ambassador, Kalel Chan, who holds a deep trust in Doña Elena products, this menu promises a fusion of Mediterranean and Filipino flavors. It all starts with a Grilled Barbeque Gremolata Pork Iberico, succulent and smoky, inspired by street-side grills, using Doña Elena Pure Olive Oil. The adventure continues with Hamachi Crudo Pani Puri, a delightful burst of flavors, and Adobong Pusit Arancini, a crispy bite-sized treat.

Chef Kalel’s favorite, Grilled Lamb Ribs, takes center stage, laid on a homemade harissa sauce and served with a refreshing orzo salad. To conclude this Mediterranean feast, indulge in labneh ice cream, a cross between cream cheese and yogurt, enriched with sesame-pistachio brittle and fragrant rosemary oil using Doña Elena Olive Oil.

Chef Kalel, a connoisseur of flavors, infuses Mediterranean ingredients, like Doña Elena Olive Oil, into Filipino dishes, creating a delightful fusion of tastes. He emphasizes the importance of using high-quality ingredients, especially olive oil, in cooking. Doña Elena’s 100% pure Spanish olive oil is not only a kitchen staple but also packed with antioxidants and rich in vitamins A, E, and K.

“Mediterranean dishes use a lot of herbs, which Filipino food usually doesn’t have. But I love to cook Filipino dishes because it’s very homey and I infuse them with Mediterranean ingredients, such as Doña Elena Olive Oil,” he said.

For example, he said a simple adobo can get more oomph just by using Doña Elena Pure Olive Oil. For Kalel, cooking oil is the foundation of good cooking, which is why he puts a premium on the kind of olive oil that he uses.

Aside from the extra virgin for dips and salads, pure for sautéing, and pomace olive oil for frying and roasting, Doña Elena offers a diverse range of Mediterranean ingredients to cater to every culinary need.

The Doña Elena special set menu is available at the Jones All-Day Bistro and Bakery throughout the day from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday, at Serendra, BGC.
