Rated as one of the best steakhouses in New York, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse has been in Manila for quite some time now. Their first branch in the metro is located in Resorts World Manila. Their other branches are at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), which we recently visited, and at The Podium, Ortigas Center.

The steakhouse was an instant hit to fellow steak lovers. And we’ve taken note of high profile personalities and celebrities we follow on Instagram who used to come here frequently before the pandemic. This restaurant has become a favorite to everyone. And that, we completely understood why.

During our visit to their BGC branch, we tried one of their signature steaks, the porterhouse. A guest can partake a steak with a 500-gram cut so if there were two of you, you can order a kilo’s worth of the meat. The porterhouse steak while served sizzling hot has a very impressive appearance. The aroma alone can make every steak lover drool. And of course, the taste is fabulous. The caramelized crust is crunchy but juicy and tender inside. It melts in the mouth.

The porterhouse, one of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s signature steaks.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse takes pride in serving only USDA Prime Black Angus beef for flavor and texture. A ritual with an artisan’s flair, the beef is dry-aged on premise to perfection, and then carved to order by their own butcher into Wolfgang’s Steakhouse signature porterhouse, prime New York sirloin, rib eye, and filet mignon.

We also tried their seafood platter consisting of lobsters and prawns which were carefully peeled and prepared by the staff. We were treated so kindly that we felt very special. Not just to us though, but the staffers were accommodating to all the customers who ate at the restaurant. It’s a service deluxe feel for everyone. For a better steak experience at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, we recommend to partner your favorite choice of steak with mashed potatoes, cream spinach and red wine, of course.

Just like a well-cooked steak, the restaurant boasts of masculine and old-world charm. It incorporates the same design elements of original locations in New York, such as a long, mahogany solid wood bar, wooden planked floors, wood wainscoting, alabaster chandeliers and mosaic tile ceiling reminiscent of the original Gustavino tile ceiling of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s first location in New York.
