The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) came out with special stamps honoring frontline workers involved in the battle against COVID-19.

Reflecting the everyday sacrifices done by these new heroes during these pandemic times, the colorful stamps illustrate Filipino frontline workers, from doctors, medical staff, military, police to delivery, supermarket and food personnel.

According to PHLPost, the special stamps is the agency’s tribute to frontline heroes who are doing their jobs even if they are at risk of being inflicted with COVID-19.

Likewise, the souvenir stamps feature the iconic artwork depicting modern-day “masked super heroes” in blue color, which symbolizes stability and responsibility.

“This postage stamp is our simple way of uplifting and boosting their morals and making them feel that their sacrifices are not left unnoticed,” Postmaster General Joel Otarra said.

PHLPost has printed 200,000 pieces of eight different frontline heroes featured in the regular stamps to be sold at P12 each.

The stamps were designed by PHLPost’s in-house graphic artist Rodine Teodoro.

A special 5,000 pieces of the limited collector’s edition of the souvenir stamps with a denomination of P55 each will also be released.

PHLPost will be accepting stamp orders from home and will be delivering them directly at your doorstep via “Stamp on Wheels.”
