The airline industry wants you to fly again soon—and safely, of course. Here are some updates that should interest wanderlusts like yourself:

  • Delta will soon bring passengers from the US back to Manila, when it resumes its Manila-US route in January 2, 2021. Patricia Celis, the country manager for the Philippines at Delta Air Lines said they are confident to welcome and serve their customers once more via industry-leading trans-Pacific hub in Seoul with joint venture partner Korean Air.
Delta will block the selection of middle seats to give passengers more space and reduce the total number of customers on board. Every Delta flight is thoroughly sanitized prior to boarding using electrostatic sprayers. The air on all aircraft is completely recirculated 10 to 30 times per hour with fresh, outside air through industrial-grade HEPA filters, which extract more than 99.99% of particles, including viruses.
  • Smile Magazine is back onboard—and passengers can take it home with them. Printed in anti-microbial paper, the newest edition—a special issue—focuses on what makes people Smile. Smile magazine echoes the fun philosophy of Cebu Pacific, one of the country’s largest airlines. The monthly title mixes travel features, celebrity interviews, and destination guides courtesy of the region’s most talented journalists and photographers.
  • Philippine Airlines extends its P388 promo until November 29. With the seat sale, passengers can get deals as low as P388 one-way economy base fare for domestic flights and $99 roundtrip economy base fare for international flights. Travel period is from January 10 to September 30, 2021 for domestic flights, and from January 15 to September 30, 2021 for international flights. To further sweeten the deal, PAL offers unlimited rebooking (as long as rebooking is made 7 days prior to departure).
  • AirAsia celebrates Bohol’s reopening to tourism with seat sales as low as P116 all-in one-way fare. The budget airline flies to Bohol four times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays). Booking period is until November 29, while travel period is from December 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
