From the opening of Somerset Millennium Makati in 2000 to a thriving network of 17 properties today, Ascott Limited Philippines has become a trusted name for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and Filipino warmth.
This year, Ascott celebrates 25 years of providing elevated hospitality experiences across the country.
Over the past two decades, Ascott has expanded its footprint across key cities like Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Bacolod, blending its global service standards with the unique charm of Filipino hospitality. According to Patrick Vaysse, country general manager of The Ascott Limited Philippines, this milestone reflects the group’s deep understanding of local and international travel trends.

“We’ve always aimed to offer more than just a place to stay,” Vaysse said. “Ascott properties are designed to make guests feel at home while experiencing the culture and vibrancy of each location. Our 25th year is about building on that legacy and exploring new horizons.”
To commemorate its 25th anniversary, Ascott Limited Philippines is launching the Horizons Campaign, a year-long program that celebrates innovation and meaningful travel experiences. The campaign is a year-long celebration of transformative hospitality and meaningful travel experiences.
Anchored in decades of reliable and quality service, the campaign reflects Ascott’s commitment to regenerative travel—enhancing destinations by embracing local cultures and preserving natural beauty. Throughout 2025, guests can expect inspired cultural, culinary, and environmental experiences, from exciting food tours to eco-friendly stays and heritage walks.
Exclusive rewards and culinary experiences
As part of the celebration, Ascott is offering a special incentive for loyal guests. The first 25 guests to complete five stays at either one property per brand (Ascott, Oakwood, Citadines, Somerset, and lyf) or five stays within a single brand will receive 25,000 Ascott Star Rewards points. Each qualifying stay will include a complimentary breakfast and a welcome kit designed around the Horizons Campaign.
Food lovers are also in for a treat. From now until the end of 2025, Ascott restaurants will feature exclusive anniversary dishes under the “25 Years of Flavor” campaign. Diners who spend at least P2,500 at participating restaurants will enjoy a complimentary dessert.

Looking ahead, Ascott is preparing to expand its Philippine presence with five new openings in 2025, including Somerset Valero Makati, Citadines Southwoods Biñan, Somerset Gorordo Cebu, Citadines Paragon Davao, and Citadines Greenhills. The group also plans to introduce two resorts: Préférence Siargao, a luxury beachside property, and Citadines Mactan Cebu, the group’s first resort on Mactan Island.
This growth reflects Ascott’s confidence in the Philippine market and its commitment to setting new standards in hospitality. With a focus on thoughtful service, sustainable practices, and curated local experiences, Ascott is poised to shape the future of travel in the Philippines for years to come.
