In a very popular tourist destination like Palawan, competition for accommodation is fierce. So for a hotel or resort to click, it must offer something exciting to entice guests to stay with them.

To this end, Astoria Palawan has done an awesome job. Not only has it checked the box on the list of the usual things that guests look for in an accommodation—spacious rooms, friendly crew, delicious food, stable Wi-Fi connection, etc—but it has outdone itself by putting up a full-blown waterpark within the premises of the resort.

It’s an irresistible value proposition that is found nowhere else in Palawan, or perhaps the whole country. The presence of the waterpark gives Astoria Palawan a wholesome vibe, perfect for getaways for families (especially ones with kids) or friends.

Guests staying in the resort get complimentary passes to the waterpark, which adds value for money for the stay. The waterpark is also open for individuals who just want a Day Pass to enjoy the facilities, but aren’t necessarily looking to stay overnight) in the hotel.

But while the waterpark is a top come-on, it’s really just the icing on the cake.

Astoria Palawan sits on a lush five-hectare mango orchard, fronting the Sulu Sea. It’s located 64 kilometers away from the Puerto Princesa International Airport, which means it’s a bit of a drive.

But it’s this secluded location that gives the resort lots of privacy, peace and quiet, and exclusivity. The high-ceiling, colorful rooms are very typical Astoria. The kitchenette is a welcome feature.

Most rooms have a terrace for the times guests want to have coffee al fresco while enjoying the morning sun, or somewhere to dry off first after swimming, before going inside their rooms.

The whole resort features lots of Instagram-ready spots that are perfect for photo-loving guests.

Its restaurant has an amazing view of the sea. Some nights, there are even fire dancers that entertain guests.

During the holiday season, Astoria Palawan is decked out to spread the Christmas love to everyone. In other words, it’s another world-class accommodation in Astoria Hotel and Group’s long list of hotels and resorts that have been providing quality accommodation to travelers across the country.
