As the undas break nears, Cebu Pacific (CEB) offers key reminders for a smooth travel experience during the peak season. With airports expected to be busier than usual, here’s how you can stay on top of things:
- Check your terminal (twice).
Make sure to confirm the terminal and flight number before heading to the airport. Cebu Pacific flights (5J) depart from NAIA Terminal 3, while Cebgo flights (DG) currently operate from NAIA Terminal 4. Starting November 7, DG flights will move to Terminal 2, so plan accordingly.
- Beat the traffic.
Allow extra time for travel to the airport. Arrive at least three hours before domestic flights and four hours for international flights. For those flying to Dubai, check-in opens seven hours before departure (for CEB). Avoid last-minute rush by completing all airport processes early.
- Check in online.
Skip the long queues by checking in online (CEB has a mobile app and website for this). Online check-in is available 48 hours before domestic flights and four hours before international ones. If you have no check-in baggage, head straight to the gate with your digital boarding pass.
- Complete eTravel forms.
International travelers must register on eTravel within 72 hours of departure and arrival to the Philippines. Save your QR code to ensure a hassle-free experience at immigration, and don’t forget to fill out the Customs Declaration form before landing.
- Know the baggage rules.
You’re allowed one carry-on bag and a personal item, with a combined weight limit of 7kg. To avoid hefty fees at the gate, purchase baggage allowance online—it’s cheaper than at the airport. You can bring up to three bags, each with a 20kg limit, with options to add extra weight if needed.
- Self-tag your luggage.
For certain domestic destinations, CEB offers self-tagging kiosks at the airport. This speeds up the check-in process, so make use of them if you’re flying from cities like Davao, Iloilo, or Tacloban.
