Technology today plays a big part in helping us preserve precious memories, particularly when we travel and head to those destinations—a beach resort, mountain hideaway, or al-fresco restaurant with a great city view—to enjoy more of life.
To preserve precious memories, we use our ubiquitous smartphones equipped with good cameras, a compact digital camera, or a DSLR to shoot photos of the great moments we have with friends and family, encounters with people we meet, or the beautiful views and ambience.
Storage solutions provider Kingston (a company that makes these SD cards that smartphones and DSLR cameras use to store photos) recently launched a campaign to highlight the importance of memories in the lives of consumers.

Its “Kingston Is With You” campaign reminds people that “memories not only exist in the past, but can also be the driving force that motivates one to move forward in life,” according to the company.
It also encourages consumers to “accelerate the vision of preserving memories” by taking more personal photographs or videos and keep storing them using storage products, which have now become very accessible and affordable.
Part of its “memory” campaign is the introduction in the market of a specially designed limited-edition gift box that connects memories with the five senses.
The gift box comes with “7-Day Memory Challenge” cards, assigning 7 mini-tasks to recipients to help them relive their most precious moments through use of the five senses: sight, touch, taste, hearing and smell—because that’s how we make memories.

Also inside the gift box are face masks with nice artsy print (which would go well with any fashionable get-up) and a 64 GB flash drive as the extra storage you need if your phone’s or camera’s storage have already run out. The flash drive is also very useful when you transfer your files from your smartphone to a PC or to a bigger capacity storage that you keep at home to save all your precious memories.

The 7 mini tasks are the following:
Day 1 Challenge: A Scent to Remember. Let your breath lead the way.
—“Even if you feel trapped in a concrete jungle, good old days can still be discovered in the corners of time. Take a break, relax and enjoy a stroll in nature. Take a breath of fresh air that will take you back through time to a happy childhood memory.”
Day 2 Challenge: A Feeling to Remember. Become your own favorite person.
— “Today, put on an outfit you are most comfortable in, and move with confidence. You should become your favorite self!”
Day 3 Challenge: A Taste To Remember. Treat yourself to a taste of happiness.
—“When you’re young, eating an ice cream cone feels like you’ve got the world in your hands. Happiness comes from the simple things; have a taste of these sweet memories again.”
Day 4 Challenge: A Sight to Remember. Shared joy is double joy!
— “Click! The moment you press the shutter button, precious memories become forever. Share your favorite photo of 2020 and freshen up these brightest moments.”
Day 5 Challenge: A Sound to Remember. Music soothes the soul.
— Is there a song that instantly takes you back to a certain moment? Is there a song that you will never skip on your playlist? Play that song and awaken the deep emotions.”
Day 6 Challenge: Creating Memories. Making moments special.
— “A little daily ritual might just light up your day. Put your favorite ‘something’ in front of the desk, decorate your life the way you want it to be.”
Day 7 Challenge: A Memory to Remember. Memories empower.
— “How do memories shape your lives? We hope through this video, you can perceive and appreciate the strength of memory. Please pass along this message, forget what should be forgotten and remember what should be remembered.”

Accomplishment of the tasks also gives the users a chance to win heartwarming gifts from Kingston.
By doing these tasks, people would be encouraged to revisit small but treasured moments and rediscover the happiness of the little things in life.
