The Philippines has been nominated in five categories at the 27th World Travel Awards (WTA) 2020, which is considered the most prestigious honors program in global travel and tourism.
The country was nominated in the following categories:
1. Asia’s Leading Tourist Board 2020 – Philippines, Department of Tourism
2. Asia’s Leading Dive Destination 2020
3. Asia’s Leading Beach Destination 2020
4. Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination 2020 – Cebu, Philippines
5. Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction 2020 – Intramuros, Philippines
Ten hotels and resorts in the Philippines were also nominated in the following categories:
1. Asia’s Leading Boutique Beach Resort – Abaca Boutique Resort
2. Asia’s Leading Boutique Resort – Abaca Boutique Resort
3. Asia’s Leading Business Hotel – Discovery Primea
4. Asia’s Leading Casino Resort – City of Dreams Manila
5. Asia’s Leading Fully Integrated Resort – City of Dreams Manila
6. Asia’s Leading Family Villa Resort – Amanpulo
7. Asia’s Leading Private Island Resort – Amanpulo
8. Asia’s Leading Hotel Residences – Raffles Makati Residences
9. Asia’s Leading Retreat – The Farm at San Benito
10. Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartments – Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila
The Department of Tourism (DOT) is encouraging everyone to vote for the Philippines in five categories of WTA 2020.
