
Domestic travel for people of all ages from the National Capital Region (NCR) is now allowed, according to the travel advisory released by Philippine Airlines (PAL). The advisory is based on the new IATF guidelines that already placed the NCR under General Community Quarantine (Alert Level 3).
Details of PAL’s Travel Advisory No. 212 are the following:
Domestic travel rules eased to allow all ages to travel point-to-point under certain conditions.
Travelers of all ages from the National Capital Region (NCR) may now travel domestically to areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), provided that seniors, pregnant women and persons with identified health risks are fully vaccinated, and subject to compliance with the protocols of the destination LGU (local government unit), including S – PASS or QR Code requirements.
In addition to individuals ages 18 to 65 regardless of vaccination status, the following groups/individuals are now allowed to travel in areas under GCQ and/or MGCQ:
a. Those below 18 years old;
b. Fully vaccinated individuals over 65 years of age;
c. Fully vaccinated individuals with immunodeficiencies, comorbidities, or other health risks; and
d. Fully vaccinated pregnant women.
An individual is considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 if:
a. Two weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a 2-dose series;
b. Two weeks or more have passed after receiving a single-dose vaccine; and
c. The vaccine administered is included in the:
1. Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) list or Compassionate Special Permit (CSP) issued by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA); or
2. EUA list of the World Health Organization (WHO).
RT-PCR and/or Antigen test requirements and other specific rules, however, will depend on the guidelines imposed by the LGU of destination.
Travelers are encouraged to periodically check the website of the local government of your destination for the latest specific travel rules and requirements for each province, city or municipality in the Philippines.
